Giving Back For Teens and Teangers

For me this completes the circle of life. My motto in life is learn, earn, and return. It's also what I want from my audiences. I do believe that "What goes around comes around", and for me it's very important in fact imperative to give to those who are less fortunate. I often have said you can not love another until you love yourself first. What my program is designed to do is to get the student, Teen, Teenager, to learn to love themselves through achievement and then give to others.

Like everything else this takes practice, because we have to take risks, and step outside of our comfort circle. I was very nervous the first time I went to help out at a soup kitchen, I didn't know what to expect, but after helping to serve over 800 meals on a Sunday, you loose that nervousness and realize you played a small part in helping others, and I felt good.

Recently, my son who is away at college was feeling down and after we talked for a hour or so he decided to make some adjustments.  One of those adjustments was to help some needy families in the area for Christmas. The food clothing and toys he was able to bring together with the help of other students turned him around.  The program "Success for Teens" shows kids how to make this happen!
