Setting Goals

After we have addressed the PMA philosophy, it's time to put our belief system to work. Most kids, Teens, Teenagers are anxious, and always ask "How do I begin". This is help thru their parents and parenting.

And now the work begins by implementing a type of "time management system".  Sometimes the preparation is harder than the execution.  For example, when setting a short range goal for one student, who wanted to improve his grade in history from a D to a B, we first took inventory of his time management and discovered there was too much TV time in his schedule.  That realization during the preparation stage was more difficult then him actually executing the plan.  He went on and accomplished his short range goal, not because of me, but because he wanted it bad, and maybe, just maybe there was someone behind him who encouraged and believed.  Most kids don't have that benefit.

We cover How to create and execute short range as well as long range goals and integrate Section III, "Dealing with Setbacks".  Goal setting is a way for me to create an affirmation on exactly what it is I want to accomplish.  Kids, Teens, Teenagers always laugh at my 10 step process, especially, step 6, writing their goals down and posting them on their lamp.  So it's the last thing they see when they go to sleep and it's the first thing they see when they get up. As a parent you can help your children thru parenting using my system.
